Hi guys, my name is Sam and i'm from Australia. I've been searching for quite some time for a good Alfa forum, and here i think ive finally found a great group of alfisti!
Here r a few pics of my 156. I bought it new in 2000, its a Selespeed with Zender kit, 17s, Eibach springs, Koni adjustable shocks....which were fitted by my alfa dealer during delivery. I havnt really done ne major engine mods, papa believes its no good for resale....i did however fit a full Carbon Fibre BMC Dynamic intake, and it has given the car a gorgeous deep throb on throttle. Ive also fitted a Pioneer CD with 6 JBL speakers, 2 JBL amps and 2 Alpine 12" subs. My car is actually for sale atm, time for an upgrade
Thankfully i havnt had ne selespeed problems during my 3 yrs of ownership, despite constantly seeing quite a few seles up on hoists with the gearboxes removed when i visit my local alfa dealer. There have been the odd rattles with the hard suspension, but nothing a little blue tack or double sided tape hasnt fixed
And yes my car too has all the little ecentric alfa quibbles, including a fuel guage which goes from half full to empty then back to half fuel LOL. This is my first car and it will b sad to c it go
