145 Cam belt

Does anyone out there have any idea when I should change my cam belt before I have an expensive repair job?
I have a 1997 145 cloverleaf which has 33K miles on the clock, it says in the service book that it should be changed after 75K miles but I've heard of some going after 30k?!

50-60K miles is enough! to change at 33k is not necessary.

it also depends of how old your c-belt is. 33k is not a high mileage but bear in mind that rubber also becomes old after seceral years.

alfa romeo says that after 5 years the belt should be changed. however, i am of the opinion that it has to be an individual decision after checking the condition of the c-belt.
