Deutsche Alfa 159-Fans dürfen sich freuen: Ab sofort ist das elegante Mittelklassemodell mit dem JTDM 20V-Turbodiesel auch mit Allradantrieb und einem 154 kW (210 PS) statt 147 kW (200 PS) bei Fronttriebler zu haben. Der 2,4 Liter große Common-Rail-Direkteinspritzer stellt sein maximales Drehmoment von 400 Nm bereits bei 1.500 statt bei 2.000 Umdrehungen zur Verfügung. Der permanente Q4-Allradantrieb – bislang der Topversion der Alfa 159-Baureihe mit 3,2-Liter-Sechszylinder (191 kW / 260 PS) vorbehalten – perfektioniert Dynamik und aktive Sicherheit gleichermaßen. Die moderne Kraftübertragung basiert auf einem zentralen Torsen-C-Sperrdifferenzial, das im Normalfall 57 Prozent der Motorleistung an die Hinterachse leitet. Damit sprintet der Viertürer in 8,4 Sekunden auf 100 km/h, die Kombi-Version ist mit 8,6 Sekunden nahezu gleich schnell. Durchschnittsverbrauch: zwischen 7,5 (Limousine) und 7,6 (Sportwagon) Liter Diesel auf 100 Kilometern.

"Il nuovo motore 2.4 JTDM potenziato a 210 CV che viene abbinato alla trazione Q4 sarà disponibile anche in configurazione a trazione anteriore e sostituirà quindi l’attuale motore con 200 CV.
La coppia massima di 400Nm si raggiunge a 1500 giri/min invece che a 2000 giri/min, per prestazioni ancora migliori ai bassi regimi."
This means that in the just front wheel driven version, manual gearbox, the 2.4 JTDm motor van 200 horsepower willen be replaced by the 210 cv en the 200 cv will be not longer available in 159 manual gearbox.
