Hello

How to find the marks for correct position of timing belt.
In every German car there are marks on wheels of velves - but in Alfa (Italian sphagetti) there are no more.
Please send me any information about it.

I found the mark "S" and "D" but a dont now how to put them.

Thanks a lot

Alex

Sorry, but I think you have a problem. From what I understand, you already took out the old cam-belt, right?
So, no way the camshafts stayed in position, they are already
out of alignment.

The reason why there are no marks is simple. Normally Alfa is using a tool which locks both engine and camshafts in place before removing the belt. Once all is turned, you need to turn the
engine to the No. 1 Cylinder in top position.
How exactly to point the camshafts I can't explain to you though.
