I am seeking an option to attach a K&N filter to my spider. My thought is to remove the air filter box alltogether and attach the filter to the MAS. I'm trying to find a source for the adapter for the MAS. Also want to investigate using a 90 degree pipe to lower the filter down into the colder air below the engine compartment.
Anyone tried this?
I know that IAP offers a Power something kit which is what I'm talking about, but they want $150 for a $40 filter and a piece of aluminum. I know that we can do it better and cheaper.
:-]
I love this, wish it were red !spider!
Ciao,
you can use the (change-)filter 33- 2546 without any problems.
please explain "MAS". Do you speak about the 57i Kit?
Another solution: X-Stream by K&N

Andre:
Thanks for your reply. My spider is Fuel Injected, MAS is the air sensor after the air filter that measures the amount and temperature of the air entering the engine. ( Mass Air Sensor)
I wish to replace the Alfa air filter with a K&N Cone type filter and am looking for an adapter that will allow me to connect it directly to the air sensor.
tante belle cosce ;)
Thanks for the explication :)
K&N offers no special kit for the 115 but you can compose the universal filters. Ask your local K&N dealer, he has a very big component/part list :)

Where did you find this? Can you tell me some more about it?
Hallo again,
I went to my local tune shop which is a dealer for GREEN filters and i just chose the appropriate one.
I am quite sure that you can find the same K&N which has a matching color with the engine.
For your info the only thing that i used to stabilize the filter was a tire-up attaching it to the strap that holds the battery in place!
Disconnect the pipe which transfers the air after the filter box in the first clump, measure the diameter and go for it!
