Lenkrad Brera

Sorry about the english but in German I'm not so Hot!

I have ordered a new Brera 3,2 V6 Q4 from our dealer in South Africa - Johannesburg.
Besides all the additional options I have asked for a Wooden-Steering-Wheel (ein Holz-Lenkrad).
The supplier has told me that there is NO "Holz-Lenkrad" available for the Brera!
Is that true? If it is available, could you give me the order Nr and maybe a photo, thank you.
You can answer in German, I do understand.

congrats to your new Brera. Since when are they available in S.A.?
As far as I know, you can not order a wooden steering wheel for the Brera, Spider or 159. It is not an option to be ordered here in Germany.
Perhaps some tuning guys might come up with a solution in time to come.

Have fun with your Brera and be careful that it is not stolen.;-)

Thanks for the good wishes and thanks for the "lenkrad" message, that puts one of my worries to sleep. I just thought that an "Alfa" must have a woodden steering wheel like my GT 3,2!
The Brera came on the SA market on the end of November-December 2006 however only the 4 cyl and the diesel (as fahr as I know). I will enjoy this "Baby" and will be an "Alfista for ever!"

I have got a 3,2 Q4 Brera since August 2006 and I am very happy with this car.

Which colour did you order? Mine is black with red leather interiour, it looks phantastic!

As I know, there is no wooden steering wheel in the german market yet. But it might be coming soon; I am waiting for it too.

Hello rathomhaus, thanks for your wishes I really look forward to get the Brera, I drove the test vehicle several times and compared to my GT 3,2.
The Brera handles very well and has a noticeable plus point, on quick acceleration on an uneven tarred surface the steering is very direct in opposition to the GT where you have to really hold the steering straight to keep the car on track, the front wheel traction is throwing the car around.

The Brera I have ordered is in Diamante color and has all the extra options like 18” mag wheels, tire pressure monitor, etc. The interior I choosed light gray and dark gray (very hot sun in SA!)

It would be very nice of you if you could let me know if and when the wooden steering wheel is available in Germany. I really think that an Alfa with a “Holz Lenkrad” is a true Alfa
