Hello, I'm new in this forum, I'm from Spain.I have a problem with my alfa, the gearbox has broken, and I can only find alfa 75 2.4TD gearbox. Please, could you answer me if this gearbox is the same as 75 2.0TD?Maybe a fiat gearbox could be the same for this model?, if there is posible, tell me the model please.Thank you a lot.
I can only find alfa 75 2.4TD gearbox. Please, could you answer me if this gearbox is the same as 75 2.0TD?The 2.0TD and 2.4TD got different rear ends (3.545:1 & 3.077:1), but the gear ratio will be the same (I´ll think so).
So you can take a 2.4-gearbox... and have only to change the differential.
Maybe a fiat gearbox could be the same for this model?Nothing will fit!
Don´t forget...the 75 have a transaxle-system (engine=front, gear=in the rear)

Thank you very much.I talked with my mechanic, to told him what you have said, and he said that maybe the gearbox is the same, but the clutch neck, or something is different, so he ask me if the part number of the 2.4TD gearbox, and 2.0TD, are the same, would you know this???
Thnak you another time
so he ask me if the part number of the 2.4TD gearbox, and 2.0TD, are the same, would you know this???the gearboxes (2.0TD + 2.4TD) have different ratios and different driveshafts.
The clutch isn´t the same,
but the the gearshaft (where the cluth slip) is identical.

Ok thank you very much.I will take an alfa 75 2.4TD gearbox.

So pedi, the last question I have forgotten it.You said the gearshaft is identical, but what happen with the gearbox envelope, is the same??and the mounting also??

Identical alloy-cases.
Biggest different (I post it bevor...but the posting is missing) will be the final rearend ratio: 2.0TD = 3.545:1, 2.4TD = 3.077:1
~ 15% different!!!
Driveshaft-flangles (besides the differential) are different.
The mounting for the hardy-brackets (driveshaft to engine) will not fit, but it´s easy to change (only mounting, or compl clutch-housing).
The gearbox-mounting-brackets are identical.
It will work, but you have to look for using the correct driveshaft-flange (you can change from 2.0 <> 2.5)
