Hi there!

I've a problem with my Bose set in my 156.
I had removed the head-unit for 2 days and now the head-unit doesn't seem to 'detect' that it's connected to the amplifier and Sub. Normally with the Bose set connected correctly the head-unit seems to know this and the 'equalizer' function is not available. But now I DO have this equalizer and the sound-quality has dropped significantly.
Is it possible to 'program' the head-unit to detect the Bose-set correctly? Maybe with some code?

Thanks for ANY information

ps. Could somebody translate this to German for me so I could post it in the German fora?

Hi,

i guess the circuit of the ISO-Plug is the same as in the 147... There must be a "Booster In" Pin or something else. If this pin is connected to +12V, the Radio indicates, that a Bose is connected and disables the equalizer and reduces the ouput volume to a line-out level.
Perhaps this pin is not connected any more to your unit.

JTD

Thanks for your tip :)
I'll try it today. I've my carkit connected to the radio so that may cause the problem. Weird thing is that it was connected before too and it worked then.....
