hi, I'm the proud owner of a 1996 Alfa GTV, however i find that the updates/changes that wnere made to the GTV in 1998 make it look even more fantastic. Apart from buying new allys, what else must i do to make my GTV look as similar as possible to the post 1998 GTV...are there any kits on the market for example to change the interior, etc...
the simple way: buy a new alfa ;D
ok, it is not easy to install a new dashboard, the switch are not compatible and there are no upgrade-kits on the market.
Painting is a cheap way to have a nice outfit :-)

hello,
as andré already mentioned it is very difficult - if not impossible - to change the dashboard and the center console.
what you could do is to get the side skirts and the lower part of your bumpers body coloured. in addition to that you could get the rear exhaust of the current model which is having a different shape of the pipe.
also, the alfa chrome heart of the facelifted models can be easily retrofitted to you model.
if you also buy the current alloys, your gtv has at least from the outside the same design elements as the faclifted versions.
cheers,
jass

these details i know...about the side skirts and the bottom being painted body coloured, the alloys, the front grid and the exhaust....for the exhaust i think i will opt for the 4 exhaust system of autodelta.....i know you cannot change the dashboard but i have heard that there are kits to make it silver/alloy coloured like the new one...is this true? also would it be very expensive and a big hassle to replace the steering wheel with the new 3 spoke steering wheel?
CE
hello,
the current steering wheel of your 916 can be easily replaced with the 3 spoke steering wheel of the current models. just bear in mind that this is rather expensive since it comes with the airbag unit.
regarding the kits of the interior - i have not heard about them so far - maybe some sprays ???
however, at the end of the day it is probably easier and cheaper to get the facelifted version i/o updating the old models.

jass

Hi I'm driving also an Alfa Gtv (2.0TB).
But I think this interior ist much better than after facelifting. IMHO there are more sport spirit! Look at small gauges on the central panell, pur sport. The new dashboard ist more "feminimum". You have real sport car! You didn't nead other jewelery.
Ciao!
